The Green Bay Packers trotted the kicking unit on the field. They were going to attempt a game-tying field goal.<\/p>\n

But then Matt LaFleur changed his mind. The head coach called timeout, and back onto the field came the offense.<\/p>\n

The Packers were down three points to the Arizona Cardinals deep into the fourth quarter. If they didn’t convert the fourth-and-2, the game would likely be over.<\/p>\n

But LaFleur didn’t want to play for the tie. He played to win.<\/p>\n

And Jordan Love found Tucker Kraft in a mismatch, hit him coming out of his break toward the left sideline, and moved the chains.<\/p>\n

The Packers soon scored the go-ahead touchdown, which turned out to be the game winner.<\/p>\n

And with it, Green Bay maintained its great start to the season..<\/p>\n

The Packers are now 4-1-1.<\/p>\n

Before the Detroit Lions play on Monday night, that means Green Bay is alone in first in the NFC North. Detroit is 4-2 before MNF.<\/p>\n

The Chicago Bears are also 4-2, and the Minnesota Vikings are 3-3.<\/p>\n

“At least Green Bay won for the first time away from Lambeau Field this season, and it is one of only three teams with fewer than two losses,” ESPN’s Rob Demovsky writes.<\/p>\n

Good teams win close games. The Packers won this one with a gutsy call.<\/p>\n
