<\/p>\nCINCINNATI BENGALS star Cam Taylor-Britt has been sent a clear message by his coaches.<\/p>\n
It comes after the\u00a0cornerback was benched for Friday\u2019s clash with the\u00a0Pittsburgh Steelers.<\/p>\n

The Bengals ran out narrow 33-31 winners after coming back from a 10-17 halftime deficit.<\/p>\n
That win snapped a four-game losing streak, but was most striking for the absence of 26-year-old Taylor-Britt.<\/p>\n
The 2022 second-round draft pick had started in 38 of 39 games prior to this season as the outside cornerback.<\/p>\n
But after starting the first game this season, gameweek 2 saw him benched but play 90 per cent of the team\u2019s defensive snaps before injury sidelined him against the\u00a0Minnesota Vikings.<\/p>\n
And a late lapse in week 6, which led to the\u00a0Green Bay Packers\u00a0achieving a late win over the Bengals, saw him dropped for week 7.<\/p>\n
The marker to improve has now been laid down by his coaches, with Bengals\u2019 defensive coordinator Al Golden telling reporters: \u201cI would love nothing more [than] for him to respond and go on a great run here.<\/p>\n
\u201cI enjoy being around Cam.<\/p>\n
\u201cI really want the best for him, and I really hope that he has an opportunity here to really turn the page and come out of this thing really, really good here over the\u00a0next<\/span>\u00a0half of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor-Britt seems to have lost his place in the team to DJ Turner II for the time being.<\/p>\n Speaking about Turner, who was drafted one year after Taylor-Britt, Golden continued: \u201cHe\u2019s changed his whole process.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s engaged at an elite level right now.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s the same guy every day and it\u2019s the consistency that allows growth and he\u2019s not going backwards.\u201d<\/p>\n Bengals coach\u00a0Zac Taylor\u00a0explained that consistency on a daily basis could change his standing.<\/p>\n Taylor said: \u201cHe\u2019s talented, high\u00a0energy<\/span>, wants to do right.<\/p>\n \u201cJust keep working at it.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bengals, now 3-4, host the\u00a0New York\u00a0Jets in their next game.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Best for News, Sport, Showbiz, Celebrities<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":35842,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[65,436],"class_list":["post-35841","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-cincinnati-bengals","tag-cincinnati-bengals","tag-pittsburgh-steelers"],"yoast_head":"\n
