Let\u2019s continue our series covering where the Green Bay Packers\u2019 scouts have traveled to during the college football season. Obviously, area scouts are going to check in with every major program in their area during the season, but a scout actually showing up to watch a team\u2019s game shows another step of intent, as they can only be at one place at one time.<\/p>\n
These reports are gathered by sports writers on the ground, who get to see seating charts in the media booth, which is where scouts watch these games. These lists are by no means complete, but partial data is better than no data.<\/p>\n
With that being said, here\u2019s where we know the Packers were in Week 6 of the college football season. As always, the player rankings we\u2019re going to be using come from the consensus draft board.<\/p>\n
Obviously, this is a very different game than what was expected. Penn State, now unranked, entered the game ranked sixth in the coaches poll and seventh in the Associated Press<\/em>\u2019 media poll. UCLA, meanwhile, was winless and had just named their interim offensive coordinator promotion on Tuesday of last week, following the firing of Tino Sunseri.<\/p>\n The Bruins were able to pull off the upset of all upsets, beating Penn State 42-37 in a more than half empty Rose Bowl. UCLA\u2019s only identified pro prospect is Tennessee transfer quarterback Nico Iamaleava, a former five-star recruit, who went 17 of 24 for 166 yards and two touchdowns, along with 16 carries for 128 yards and three scores on the ground, against the Nittany Lions.<\/p>\n By my count, this is the second time the Packers have gone in-person to watch Michigan State games. This is pretty weird, considering that the Spartans aren\u2019t very good (3-8 vs. Big Ten competition over the last two years) and only have two identified professional prospects. One of those is quarterback Aidan Chiles, an underclassman and transfer from Oregon State, who is not assured to declare for the upcoming draft.<\/p>\n Elijah Pritchett, Nebraska\u2019s one identified pro prospect, was originally a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he started 11 games at right tackle and one game at left tackle during the 2024 season. He transferred to play with the Cornhuskers this offseason and is still only a junior, due to his 2022 redshirt season. Pritchett had not started for Nebraska going into this game, but was named the left tackle versus Michigan State. In a win over the Spartans, he was one of the Cornhuskers\u2019 two highest graded offensive players in the game per Pro Football Focus.<\/p>\n This game is interesting, considering that the Packers went out of their way to watch two top-100 nose tackle prospects go at it. Obviously, post-Kenny Clark, Green Bay should be in the nose tackle market next spring.<\/p>\n Iowa St. DT Domonique Orange played as expected in the 2025 opener for a projected day 2 draft pick by NFL teams.<\/p>\n Stout and dense (6016v, 328v, 33 3\/4" arms).
