KANSAS City received a much-needed boost ahead of facing an AFC rival this week.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens in a clash of struggling teams expected to be Super Bowl contenders.<\/p>\n

The losing team at Arrowhead Stadium faces the prospect of falling to 1-3.<\/p>\n

Kansas City is a minor underdog for the game despite being at home.<\/p>\n

But one of their key weapons will be back on the field, coach Andy Reid confirmed.<\/p>\n

Wide receiver Xavier Worthy has been out since suffering an injury in the season-opener.<\/p>\n

Worthy hurt his shoulder when he ran into teammate Travis Kelce in Sao Paulo, Brazil.<\/p>\n

He was forced out of the rest of the defeat against the Los Angeles Chargers.<\/p>\n

Worthy also missed the Week 2 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Week 3 win at the New York Giants.<\/p>\n

But coach Reid confirmed Friday that he’ll be back this Sunday.<\/p>\n

“Listen, you’ve got to be healthy enough to go play,” Reid said.<\/p>\n

“I mean, we’re not gonna put him out there if he’s not healthy enough to go play and where he feels comfortable.<\/p>\n

“He feels good, and then the other team, they’re gonna play hard no matter what, whether you have a shoulder injury or not.<\/p>\n

“They’re gonna try to knock you around a little bit.<\/p>\n

“That’s why you want to make sure you’re in the right frame of mind to go do it and physically OK.”<\/p>\n

Worthy was a full participant in practice this week.<\/p>\n

“It was an upper-body injury,” Reid added.<\/p>\n

“So he’s been able to keep himself in good shape and ready to go.<\/p>\n

“He looked good, what we asked him to do there.”<\/p>\n

Kansas City had 13 players on the injury report including Patrick Mahomes with a wrist issue.<\/p>\n

But only two players were limited in Friday practice – defensive end Michael Danna and cornerback Kristian Fulton.<\/p>\n

Defensive end Ashton Gillotte did not practice Friday.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs are still without wide receiver Rashee Rice, who was handed a six-game suspension at the start of the season.<\/p>\n
