It wasn\u2019t Travis Kelce\u2019s best day.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, the day got worse for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.<\/p>\n

Kelce was fined $14,491 for \u201cobscene gestures\u201d during the 20-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 14.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t Kelce\u2019s best game after a goal-line drop changed the dynamic of the game, but it was his celebration of a 23-yard gain that drew the fine.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs, meanwhile, earned their first win of the season Sunday with a 22-9 win over the New York Giants.<\/p>\n

With the Chiefs leading 6-0 in the second quarter, cameras captured Chiefs coach Andy Reid getting into a verbal altercation with star tight end Travis Kelce. Reid even bumped Kelce\u2019s shoulder as the two exchanged words.<\/p>\n

Reid downplayed the confrontation, calling Kelce \u201cpassionate,\u201d per ESPN.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love Travis\u2019 passion, man,\u201d Reid said. \u201cI\u2019m OK with that. We didn\u2019t have enough of it in the second quarter. It wasn\u2019t where we needed it to be, so, within reason, he knows when to back off the pedal and knows when to push it too.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the win, Patrick Mahomes was 22 of 37 for 224 yards and a touchdown pass to Tyquan Thornton. His vintage performance slinging the ball around helped the Chiefs avoid what would\u2019ve been their first 0-3 start since 2011.<\/p>\n

Russell Wilson threw two interceptions as the Giants fell to 0-3.<\/p>\n

Fans chanted for Jaxson Dart, but the first-round pick got only a handful of snaps with Wilson attempting his team\u2019s every pass.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
