Cincinnati will have quarterback Joe Burrow sidelined for the next three months on this football team. Jake Browning was the starter, and he looked shaky. This loss looked extremely bad for head coach Zac Taylor. Fans want him to be fired but will he actually be fired if this continues?<\/p>\n

Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports ranked his overreactions and realities for week three of the 2025 NFL season. He believes that it is an overreaction for the Bengals to potentially move on from Taylor in the offseason. Kerr said about this,<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though the Bengals were blown out in the first game Joe Burrow missed, this isn\u2019t a reflection on Taylor. This is the result of an organization that built a bad offensive line, did not draft well, did not spend the money to improve on defense and became too reliant with Burrow on the field to win games.<\/p>\n

Jake Browning\u00a0has five interceptions through two games he\u2019s played, and he hasn\u2019t even played two full games yet! The Bengals don\u2019t look like they have the personnel to overcome the loss of Burrow for a significant period of time, and will likely miss the playoffs again.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If that happens, that could be a reflection on Taylor \u2014 even though he shouldn\u2019t take the fall for poor front office management. The Bengals just aren\u2019t good without Burrow, no matter who their coach is. Taylor will likely be on the hot seat if the season goes into a free fall, but right now Cincinnati is 2-1.<\/p>\n

The Bengals still control their own destiny. Their season isn\u2019t off the rails yet. \u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They have won games in the past with Browning when Burrow was injured. Sunday seemed to be just a bad game for the Bengals. Cincinnati will face the Denver Broncos on the road next Monday night. The Bengals can\u2019t afford to be blown out once again. If Cincinnati were to somehow win the game next week, then the game against the Vikings just appeared to be a blip in the road for them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
