The Cleveland Browns will enter week three of the 2025 NFL season 0-2 and preparing to take on the red hot 2-0 Green Bay Packers.\u00a0 Cleveland will host Green Bay at 1:00pm EST on Sunday.\u00a0 As it turns out, the starting quarterback for Cleveland has been decided and the news immediately went viral.<\/p>\n

After two straight losses to start the season, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has been asked if he is willing to consider changing the quarterback:<\/p>\n

Cleveland was blown out by the division rival Ravens on\u00a0Sunday, 41-17, with quarterback Joe Flacco finishing 25-of-45 with a TD, an interception and a costly fumble against his former team before being pulled for rookie Dillon Gabriel in garbage time.<\/p>\n

The third-round pick out of Oregon hit on all three of his pass attempts for 17 yards and his first\u00a0NFL\u00a0touchdown when he got in the game. But obviously things were already well out of hand at that point.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters after the game, Stefanski was asked if the team\u2019s slow start has him rethinking his decision to go with the 40-year-old Flacco as Cleveland\u2019s QB1.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo,\u201d\u00a0Stefanski\u00a0said, via The Athletic\u2019s Zac Jackson. \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s fair to talk about that right now. We win as a team. We lose as a team. \u2026 I don\u2019t think we did good enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Flacco himself was also asked about the Browns potentially going in a different direction. To which the\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0LVII MVP replied: \u201cI can\u2019t worry about that stuff anyway. It\u2019s honestly not on my mind. I gotta go out there and just play my game, play the way I know how to lead this team the best I can.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the rough start, Stefanski sees the Browns\u2019 early struggles as learning experiences and says that his guys aren\u2019t going to throw in the towel just because they\u2019re in an 0-2 hole.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s early in the\u00a0football season. Win, lose, or draw, you\u2019ve got to learn from these things and move on. It is what it is,\u201d Stefanski said, via 92.3 The Fan. \u201cIt\u2019s frustrating when you lose, when you get beat like we got beat. Nobody\u2019s hiding from it. I know what these guys are about\u2026 we\u2019ll just get back to work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cleveland is 40-46 under the two-time Coach of the Year since he first took over in 2020 and they\u2019ve made the playoffs twice under his watch. They\u2019re also coming off a 4-13 season though and may need to see what they have in their two rookie QBs should things go off the rails.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
