After\u00a0skipping the 2025 MTV VMAs, Taylor Swift and her fianc\u00e9, Travis Kelce, continued their night out of the public eye. The pair wasn\u2019t spotted at any of the after-parties in New York. The choice wasn\u2019t surprising, given Swift was only nominated for one award, Artist of the Year, which ultimately went\u00a0to Lady Gaga. The singer will be back in the spotlight soon, though, as she gears up for her\u00a0The Life of a Showgirl\u00a0<\/em>album release\u00a0on October 3.<\/p>\n Kelce, meanwhile, started his weekend far from New York City. He and the Kansas City Chiefs played their NFL season opener on Friday in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, against the Los Angeles Chargers. Swift didn\u2019t attend that game, with sources telling\u00a0TMZ\u00a0it was a short trip, and none of the Chiefs players\u2019 partners went. Kelce and his teammates returned to Kansas City, Missouri, right after.<\/p>\n This Sunday, the Chiefs will play against the Philadelphia Eagles at Arrowhead Stadium. It\u2019s a face-off Swift herself could attend as she often goes to Kelce\u2019s home games.<\/p>\n A source told\u00a0People\u00a0<\/em>in June that Swift was \u201cgenuinely excited\u201d about Kelce\u2019s NFL season, since she has \u201cthe time and flexibility to show up for Travis more consistently.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis fall will be completely different,\u201d the source said. \u201cIt\u2019s the first season where she\u2019s not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTaylor plans to be at as many of his games as possible,\u201d the insider added. \u201cThey\u2019ve both had such demanding schedules for so long, so having this stretch of time where things aren\u2019t quite as chaotic feels like a welcome change.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift and Kelce\u00a0are newly engaged, having announced the news just last month.
