Donald Trump appears to be a fan of Taylor Swift again after publicly declaring last year that he \u201chates\u201d the singer.<\/p>\n

Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce announced their engagement yesterday, posting a carousel of photos of them embracing in a garden. The post included a photo featuring a close-up of her engagement ring. The post was captioned: \u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.\u201d<\/p>\n
The engagement was announced while US President Trump was attending a cabinet meeting, where he was asked for his reaction to the news. Trump responded, as seen in the clip below: \u201cWell, I wish them a lot of luck. I think he\u2019s a great player, I think he\u2019s a great guy, and she\u2019s a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s comments on the couple\u2019s engagement comes after he launched a public beef with the \u2018All Too Well\u2019 singer last year after Swift publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, when she said \u201cwe can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos\u201d.<\/p>\n
The president then declared that he \u201chates\u201d her, and suggested that Swift will \u201cprobably pay a price\u201d for his support of Harris. In June 2024, he took a moment to comment on Swift\u2019s appearance in the upcoming book titled Apprentice In Wonderland: How Donald Trump And Mark Burnett Took America Through The Looking Glass<\/em>,\u00a0calling her \u201cunusually beautiful\u201d and also questioned whether her political stance is \u201cjust an act\u201d.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, Trump trolled her for being booed at the Super Bowl, which he said meant \u201cthe world is healing\u201d.<\/p>\n Swift and Kelce\u00a0have been in a relationship since 2023, with Kelce saying he \u201cthrew the ball in her court\u201d after seeing her \u2018Eras\u2019 show at Arrowhead Stadium in July of that year. They sparked dating rumours after Swift attended a few of his Chiefs games in September, and confirmed they were together a month later.<\/p>\n Swift recently\u00a0announced her new album \u2018The Life Of A Showgirl\u2019 earlier this month\u00a0on\u00a0her first-ever appearance on the\u00a0New Heights\u00a0sports podcast, hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, new details about their relationship are\u00a0reportedly set to be revealed in a new Kansas City Chiefs documentary.
