{"id":31251,"date":"2025-08-26T14:47:22","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T14:47:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breakingnews.azontree.com\/?p=31251"},"modified":"2025-08-26T14:47:22","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T14:47:22","slug":"breaking-news-browns-make-trade-with-rams-ahead-of-roster-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breakingnews.azontree.com\/?p=31251","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING NEWS: Browns Make Trade With Rams Ahead Of Roster Deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brownsnation.com\/wp-content\/cache\/webp-cache\/1dc9c51daf073a3b63403a3aaea5600f.webp\" alt=\"Browns Make Trade With Rams Ahead Of Roster Deadline\" width=\"750\" height=\"488\" data-image-id=\"107695\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>(Photo by Joe Robbins\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Cleveland Browns are adding an insurance policy ahead of today\u2019s roster deadline.<\/p>\n<p>According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, they\u2019re adding Los Angeles Rams\u2019 OT KT Leveston.<\/p>\n<p>In return, they\u2019ll send them a 2028 seventh-round pick.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Browns?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Browns<\/a> trade: Cleveland is trading with the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Rams?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Rams<\/a> for OT KT Leveston and giving up a 7th in 2028, source said.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RapSheet\/status\/1960323353366982955?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 26, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The Rams took Leveston out of Kansas State with the No. 254 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, he failed to make a single appearance for them, as he dealt with an ankle injury that cost him his entire season.<\/p>\n<p>He spent the year on the Rams\u2019 IR, and while he was eligible to be activated at one point, the team chose to keep him on the shelf to use their final activation spot to activate John Johnson III.<\/p>\n<p>Leveston made 13 starts at left tackle in college, so he might be there as an insurance policy for the injury-prone Dawand Jones.<\/p>\n<p>He looked sharp against the pass and the run in the preseason, and the Browns may have liked what they saw from him.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cf-images.eu-west-1.prod.boltdns.net\/v1\/static\/5067014667001\/42809f45-ebed-4bd3-82df-75230053b22e\/5d6994dd-6cce-4ae8-a4a0-b136e5a1c746\/1280x720\/match\/image.jpg\" alt=\"NFL Network in major shake-up as insider Ian Rapoport signs new deal while  longtime host bids farewell after 13 years | The US Sun\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Before entering the league, scouts praised Leveston\u2019s natural ability to shut down the interior, but he also has great hands in pass-protection.<\/p>\n<p>On the downside, he\u2019s not that mobile and may not have the ideal measurements for a left tackle, and some believe he would be better suited to play at guard, which is an adjustment that may take some time since he didn\u2019t play that position in college.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the case, the Browns needed to add more depth to their offensive line, and doing so with a cheap rookie with some intriguing upside was a good move.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 The Cleveland Browns are adding an insurance policy ahead of today&#8217;s roster deadline.
