FOXBOROUGH \u2014 Before the start of rookie minicamp,\u00a0New England Patriots\u00a0head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters that defensive coordinator Terrell Williams was not at the facility at the moment\u00a0as he works through a medical condition.<\/p>\n
Williams remained in Detroit throughout the spring, and in his absence, inside linebackers coach Zak Kuhr had an increased role. But Williams was back out there at the end of July when the Patriots took the field for training camp.<\/p>\n
However, during practice one day, Williams appeared to have collapsed on the practice field, which sparked concern for his health. However, he confirmed that it was just due to dehydration.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, I don\u2019t want to get into that right now. It\u2019s really irrelevant. I\u2019m not dealing with that anymore, so we\u2019ve kind of moved on,\u201d Williams said. \u201cI know people were worried about what happened on the field, and really, I was dehydrated. That could happen to you, so drink water. That\u2019s what you learn from that. But I feel great.\u201d<\/p>\n
So, is there any reason for concern with the season right around the corner?<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m ready to go. That\u2019s why I\u2019m here. Camp\u2019s been good. I feel great. The guys are practicing hard, so it\u2019s been a good camp so far,\u201d Williams said. \u201cIt\u2019s great to be back. It\u2019s training camp. It\u2019s football \u2013 and it\u2019s normal to me. I\u2019m happy to be back. I\u2019m happy to be around these players. I\u2019m happy to be here in New England.\u201d<\/p>\n
