The Detroit Lions had one of the most successful seasons in franchise history last season. Not only did Detroit win the NFC North, but the Lions also secured the number one overall seed in the NFC for the first time in franchise history.<\/p>\n

Naturally, all of that success led to some coaching staff attrition, with offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn both taking head coaching jobs elsewhere around the league.<\/p>\n

Now, the Lions\u2019 top receiver, Amon-Ra St. Brown, is getting honest about the team\u2019s offensive struggles thus far in training camp, although he\u2019s expressing optimism that things will get turned around.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe feel like as an offense maybe this camp there has been\u00a0some struggles for us as an offense,\u201d St. Brown said, via the Lions\u2019 official website. \u201cBut I think that\u2019s normal. You got new coaches and different moving parts and you\u2019re going against a really good defense every day.<\/p>\n

\"NFL<\/p>\n

\u201cThings can get tough. But for us as an offense, we know the ability that we have, the playmakers we have, the quarterback we have, the O-line, so it\u2019s just a matter of time for us. Keep getting better and improving is the name of the game for us right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the bright side, St. Brown impressed in the Lions\u2019 joint practice with the Miami Dolphins.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s cool to see a guy who is All-Pro, he\u2019s the best, it\u2019s cool to see a guy like that continue to go out here every day and do everything full speed and do all his blocking full speed and want to do one-on-ones against everybody,\u201d\u00a0 left tackle Taylor Decker said of St. Brown after Wednesday\u2019s joint practice.<\/p>\n
