{"id":29880,"date":"2025-08-07T22:53:30","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T22:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breakingnews.azontree.com\/?p=29880"},"modified":"2025-08-07T22:53:30","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T22:53:30","slug":"packers-s-xavier-mckinney-calf-may-miss-rest-of-training-camp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breakingnews.azontree.com\/?p=29880","title":{"rendered":"Packers S Xavier McKinney (calf) may miss rest of training camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<section><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nationalfootballpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/25178217.jpg\" alt=\"Packers S Xavier McKinney (calf) may miss rest of training camp - National  Football Post\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Green Bay Packers All-Pro safety Xavier McKinney is dealing with a calf injury that could take him off the field for the rest of training camp and the preseason.<\/p>\n<p>McKinney, though, promised he\u2019d \u201cbe ready when it\u2019s time to go\u201d for Week 1 when speaking to reporters at training camp Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously glad that we caught it when we caught it, so just kind of trying to take it slow and then the build-up, obviously,\u201d McKinney said. \u201cBut I\u2019ll be ready when it\u2019s time to go, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McKinney was a practice participant Wednesday but sat out Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was just something like just lingering a little bit over time, and that\u2019s really all it really was,\u201d McKinney said of the injury.<\/p>\n<p>McKinney, 26, is coming off the best season of his NFL career, which also marked his first season in Green Bay.
