The Pro Bowl guard reveals first impression of Travis Kelce on ‘New Heights’ podcast<\/p>\n

All NFL <\/strong>fans are aware of what Travis Kelce<\/strong> has become; a future Hall of Famer, Chief legend and larger-than-life personality, who dates Taylor Swift by the way. He has furtherly translated his talents out of the field and into the show business, all across media. His ‘New Heights’ podcast is one example of Travis <\/strong>being one of the best NFL-entertainment translations in the present century, and even more.<\/p>\n

This last episode with his brother Jason <\/strong>had the Kansas City Chiefs right guard Trey Smith as guest<\/strong>. Smith <\/strong>just had his best season with the team, being selected to his first Pro Bowl<\/strong>. Already a two-time Super Bowl champion<\/strong> with the team, and also bitter of how things ended last season, the Chiefs <\/strong>lineman entered the league in 2021<\/strong>. In the podcast, he looked back on the first impression he got when meeting the charismatic tight end<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Just as Jason Kelce <\/strong>asked Smith <\/strong>what was his first impression of Travis <\/strong>when he met him, the former Tennessee Volunteer bursted out laughing<\/strong>. “Everybody remembers the first time they meet ‘Trav<\/strong>‘, that’s a hard one to forget”, added Jason <\/strong>to the humorous moment which had the Chiefs <\/strong>tight end saying, “\u00c2\u00a1Oh sh%$#!”.<\/p>\n

“Just crazy energy bro!”, voiced Smith<\/strong>, “I was like, ‘Oh he’s awful! I love this guy!’<\/strong>“, while the three just couldn’t stop laughing. “The one thing that I loved was, it might have been in my first game. You scored a touchdown, I like tackled you, like slapping your helmet in the endzone ’cause you’re just psycho<\/strong>, bro.” “Going f”$% nuts!”, responded Travis<\/strong>. “I love it! Everytime ‘Trav<\/strong>‘ is getting the guys going I’m just like, ‘let’s get this thing rolling!'”, continued Smith<\/strong>, all while Travis <\/strong>kept making noises to hype up the conversation.<\/p>\n

If that wasn’t enough admiration for a teammate, Trey <\/strong>continued by talking about the respect and gratefulness he has towards a veteran like Travis <\/strong> remembering when he entered the league. “Another thing I can speak about, especially as a sixth round draft pick, young guy, is how kind you were<\/strong> bro. You don’t have to be that way”, applauded the Chiefs <\/strong>lineman.<\/p>\n

“How you really care for people and you’re not afraid to give out your heart. I think that’s a part that stood out to me like, man, you look at your career, your trajectory and who you are as a human being, but you still make the time for people, you stil care for people<\/strong>. To me, that speaks volumes of the person. For me that was the biggest thing, you never mistreated me or sort of wrote me off or anything”, concluded the Pro Bowler<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
