San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has two objectives for this season \u2014 remain healthy and win a Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old tight end is one of the best at his position and potentially on his way to a Hall of Fame career. The veteran tight end is showing no signs of slowing down, posting 43 receptions for 560 receiving yards and seven touchdowns through just nine games, including a touchdown in the Niners\u2019 recent 23-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy No. 1 objective is stay healthy for the whole season because if I’m healthy, I can help our team win a Super Bowl,\u201d says Kittle in a one-on-one interview. \u201cBesides that, the 49ers \u2014 us as a team \u2014 our goal is to win the Super Bowl. We have the team for it, we have the athletes for it, we have the coaches for it. We have everything we need, we just need to go out and make plays, stay healthy and win games.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2024 season has been an up-and-down one for the Niners through the first half of the season, as San Francisco holds a 5-4 mark at the midway point of the year. However, things are starting to turn around following the return of Christian McCaffrey after being sidelined for the first eight games due to an Achilles injury.<\/p>\n

\"Bold\"George<\/p>\n

While the Niners would be out of the playoff picture if the season ended today, they\u2019re just a half-game behind the Arizona Cardinals for the lead in the NFC West and a half-game behind the Green Bay Packers for the final wild card spot in the playoffs. They do have remaining games on the schedule against both<\/em> the Cardinals and the Packers.<\/p>\n

Although the Niners may not replicate the 12-5 record they posted last season en route to a Super Bowl LVIII appearance, they\u2019re certainly more than well-equipped to make another deep run in the playoffs \u2014 if not another Super Bowl appearance.<\/p>\n

One thing that has remained consistent this season is the Kansas City Chiefs\u2019 dominance of the NFL. While the wins haven\u2019t been pretty, they\u2019re the only remaining undefeated team in the league at 9-0.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs have been a thorn in the Niners\u2019 side, costing Kittle and San Francisco two Super Bowl titles with two fourth-quarter comebacks in the past five seasons. Kittle details why<\/em> he feels he and the Niners have come up short in their two Super Bowl appearances against the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just need to make more plays,\u201d says Kittle. \u201cI don’t think every single person was incredibly happy with their performance, I feel most guys feel like they could have played better. I don’t know if we played at the level that we had played at the entire season. Guys just don’t feel like we played our best game out there.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s mostly just go out there, play the game that we played the entire season and make as many plays as we possibly can,\u201d Kittle continues. \u201cDon’t leave the game up to Patrick Mahomes. He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, always finds way to win, just have to take it out of his hands and try to establish a lead early and keep it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kittle reveals what he\u2019s learned from those Super Bowl losses \u2014 it doesn\u2019t matter how many you win in the regular season. Something that actually resonates with the current Niners team considering they\u2019re a fringe playoff team at the moment based upon record.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really doesn’t matter what happens in the regular season,\u201d says Kittle. \u201cYou can win as many games as you want to. No matter how it ends, you have to continue to climb the mountain, push the rock, climb the hill and get back to the top and make a few more plays that will change the outcome of the game.<\/p>\n

The five-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro selection explains why the Niners are set up for success again<\/em> this season.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is basically the same roster as we had last year, so we’re confident in our team, we’re confident that we’re going to win a lot of football games, put us in a position as a team again,\u201d says Kittle. \u201cAt the end of the day, we still have to get over that last hump and finish pushing all the way up so we can end the season as winners, instead of ending the season being disappointed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kittle leads all tight ends with seven touchdowns and ranks second among all players at his position with 503 receiving yards. He\u2019s on pace to surpass his single season-high mark of 11 touchdowns from two years prior and is on pace for 92 catches, which would also be a career-high mark.<\/p>\n

Although Kittle remains arguably the most complete tight end in the NFL, he\u2019s still looking for ways to get better deep into his career, mentioning how he wants to improve in getting out of the top of his routes and he wants to \u201cattack the ball\u201d better. In other words, he\u2019s always looking to \u201cadd\u201d to his game.<\/p>\n

The Niners tight end is speaking on behalf of his continued partnership with Zenni Optical, which will see the release of another eyewear collection from Kittle himself and his wife, Claire. The couple have a heavy influence in the creative design of the the glasses, something that Kittle is proud and passionate about.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m a big sunglasses guy. I wear sunglasses every game,\u201d says Kittle. \u201cWhen a team partner showed up and said, ‘Hey we’d love to work with you.’ It made a lot of sense to me, especially because they give me and wife Claire so many customizable options. They told us that they really want us to customize the first line. It’s been really fun, because every time we create a new collection, they give us creative control of what we want. It’s that whole part of it that has been really fun for Claire and I. We put our ideas out there and bring them to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kittle \u2014 who has been partnered with Zenni Optical since 2020 \u2014 details that there are 15-to-20 different styles that he and Claire release with each new collection. The couple are releasing a new collection this month.<\/p>\n

The star tight end says that he prefers the lighter shades when asked what his type of sunglasses are. However, outside of the creative control aspect that he shares with his wife, he also explains another big reason why he partnered with Zenni Optical, which is because the glasses are \u201caffordable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy favorite thing about it is there are so many options,\u201d says Kittle. \u201cEverything looks cool and fancy, but everything is very affordable. I’ve always been a big fan of that, because I like things that are really expensive, but don’t have to be really expensive.
