We’re not quite sure how Deion Sanders plans to “run” the 2025 NFL Draft. But when it comes to the next step to the pros for his star QB son, Shedeur Sanders?<\/p>\n
“Coach Prime” obviously is formulating a plan. And speculation suggests that the Cleveland Browns are not a positive part of it.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, Sanders stirred it up with his comments as a guest on FS1’s “Speak,” when asked if he’ll step in to somehow block the “wrong” NFL team from drafting Shedeur.<\/p>\n
“Yeah, but I’m not gonna do it publicly,” Sanders said. “I’ll do it privately.”<\/p>\n
Host Keyshawn Johnson then asked Sanders if there are certain parts of the country or certain coaching schemes that would be a factor in the family’s decision.<\/p>\n
The Hall of Fame cornerback, now winning at the University of Colorado after famously starring with the Dallas Cowboys and elsewhere as a player, offered some hints.<\/p>\n
“Somebody that can handle the quarterback that he is. Somebody that can handle understanding what he’s capable of,”\u00a0Sanders\u00a0said. “Someone that has had success in the past handling quarterbacks or someone in an organization understands what they’re doing, not just throwing you out there amongst the world [and] you don’t have the support in the infrastructure of the team.”<\/p>\n
There has been speculation that the Cleveland Browns – who are 2-7 and are in line to have an early pick in this draft – would be among the teams that come up short in Deion’s evaluation. … and frankly, the club’s awful overall involvement in the Deshaun Watson debacle probably hurts Cleveland’s reputation.<\/p>\n
“This kid (Shedeur) loves this game and he has an insatiable appetite to win, and I want somebody to be able to propel him to the next level as well,” “Coach Prime” said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
