{"id":22471,"date":"2025-05-10T02:22:44","date_gmt":"2025-05-10T02:22:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breakingnews.azontree.com\/?p=22471"},"modified":"2025-05-10T02:22:44","modified_gmt":"2025-05-10T02:22:44","slug":"breaking-news-cowboys-are-selling-george-pickens-jerseys-but-theres-a-catch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breakingnews.azontree.com\/?p=22471","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING NEWS : Cowboys Are Selling George Pickens Jerseys, But There&#8217;s a Catch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0provided a big answer to a clear need in the offseason, as they addressed their depth issues in the wide receiver position by getting George Pickens from the\u00a0Pittsburgh Steelers.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Cowboys\u00a0traded a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Steelers in exchange for the former\u00a0Georgia Bulldogs\u00a0star wideout and a sixth-rounder in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>It did not take much time for the Cowboys to start selling Pickens jerseys at the team&#8217;s official pro shop following the trade.<\/p>\n<p>However, as noted by Jon Machota of The Athletic, the jerseys don&#8217;t have a confirmed number yet. Nevertheless, the items will be delivered once Pickens gets an official digit for his threads.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">George Pickens doesn\u2019t have an official Dallas Cowboys jersey number yet, but his jerseys are already on sale through the team\u2019s pro shop. They\u2019ll ship when the number has been officially confirmed <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/lskSNtfiU9\">pic.twitter.com\/lskSNtfiU9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Jon Machota (@jonmachota) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jonmachota\/status\/1921016086004195581?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 10, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>With Pickens now in Dallas, there is a palpable sense of excitement for the Cowboys, whose wide receiver room also features\u00a0CeeDee Lamb.<\/p>\n<p>Pickens is expected to form a dangerous 1-2 punch downfield for the Cowboys&#8217; attack that finished the 2024\u00a0NFL\u00a0season with an average of 227.2 passing yards per game.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/athlonsports.com\/.image\/t_share\/MjE0NzkwNDUzNjAwNDYyNjI4\/usatsi_25171360.jpg\" alt=\"Steelers wide receiver George Pickens (14) looks on in the third quarter against the Ravens.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lamb led Dallas with 1,194 receiving yards, but no other Cowboy had more than 610. Pickens, meanwhile, has never collected fewer than 801 receiving yards in a season, through three years in the pros.
