Andy Reid and the Chiefs<\/strong> are one of the favorite teams to dominate the AFC. Undoubtedly, a key factor will be the productivity in the connection between Patrick Mahomes<\/strong> and Travis Kelce. However, in a somewhat strange message during an interview with the Kansas City Star<\/em>, general manager Brett Veach spoke about a possible decline in the tight end\u2019s numbers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe numbers won\u2019t be the same. I mean, you have to acknowledge a certain aspect of that, right? I don\u2019t know if I look at it in terms of, like, expectations for yardage or touchdowns or catches. I think that when he\u2019s on the field now, he makes us better. And I think that he\u2019s also a guy that makes the people around him better. And when you have a guy that\u2019s that connected with a quarterback, it\u2019s almost like a little bit of him and Pat are a conductor for everybody else.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Last season, the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl<\/strong> to the Philadelphia Eagles, and that game raised many doubts about the future of the dynasty. However, Veach has made sure to maintain a championship-caliber roster.<\/p>\n

Will Travis Kelce retire from football?<\/h2>\n

No. Travis Kelce<\/strong> will not retire from football, as the tight end promised to fulfill the final year of his contract while aiming for another Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n

Last season, Kelce recorded 823 yards and 3 touchdowns. However, as has been the case for much of his career, his biggest impact came in the playoffs, where he was a key piece in eliminating the Texans and the Bills.<\/p>\n
