There’s not much that\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0star\u00a0Travis Kelce\u00a0has not done in his 11-year career. Three Super Bowls, a number of tight end records and a romantic relationship with\u00a0Taylor Swift\u00a0marks the pinnacle of achievement in the\u00a0NFL.<\/p>\n
When he retires after the 2025 season, Kelce will leave the game as one of the greatest to ever play his position. But that has not quelled his ambition of being a star basketball player.<\/p>\n
On a recent episode of his\u00a0“New Heights” podcast, he addressed a fan question about which previous guest he would swap lives with. Kelce didn’t have to think for a second about his answer.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy answer is\u00a0LeBron James\u00a0because I want to play in the\u00a0NBA,\u201d Kelce said. \u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to play in the NBA.<\/p>\n
“It was a dream I\u2019ve had since I was a kid and I would love to know what that dream actually feels like,” Kelce detailed.<\/p>\n

Originally from Cleveland Heights, the Chiefs’ star has an affinity for the\u00a0Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron’s original NBA team. He had hopes of playing both football and basketball while at the University of Cincinnati.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be able to jump as high as he can and slam the ball in the basketball hoop as hard as he can, I would also love to know what that feels like as well,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
Now that use of his outstanding athleticism would be a new venture. However, when considering being in the shoes of an athlete of such a magnitude, would much change for Kelce?<\/p>\n
His brand and stardom extends beyond the gridiron and he will likely stay in the public eye after his exit from the NFL. Even with all Kelce has accomplished, that desire to compete on the hardwood may not ever going away.<\/p>\n
