<\/p>\nThe Kansas City Chiefs addressed the left tackle position early in free agency with San Francisco 49ers backup\u00a0Jaylon Moore\u00a0coming to the AFC champs on a two-year, $30 million deal.<\/p>\n

Not everyone sees the move for Moore as a solution to the left tackle problem, and even NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger called it a “band-aid” move from the franchise.<\/p>\n
But that doesn’t mean it can’t work out and Moore’s teammate in San Francisco, Elijah Moore, is also a Chief now, and he knows that Patrick Mahomes will love what Jaylon will bring to the offense.<\/p>\n
“Since day one, we clicked,”\u00a0Mitchell said. “Jaylen, he brings a lot even though he was in front of one of the best tackles in the league, but Jaylen’s definitely a sleeper, and Patrick Mahomes, he’s going to love what Jaylen brings. He can protect, he’s a good guy and an awesome football player, I’m excited for him.”<\/p>\n
With Moore playing behind Trent Williams for four years with the 49ers, Jaylon surely would have learned some things from the three-time All-Pro, and it is hoped that he will bring something different to the offensive line.<\/p>\n
Mahomes was sacked 47 times throughout the season (including playoffs), 36 of them in the regular season (a career-high), so the front office knew fixing his protection was job No. 1 in the offseason.<\/p>\n
Is Moore the answer? Many are skeptical right now, but the Chiefs clearly saw something in Jaylon, and while he only has 12 career starts, he gets a change of scenery to ignite his NFL career.<\/p>\n
