The Green Bay Packers are preventing a free agent from moving elsewhere, securing a familiar face for Matt LaFleur and Jordan Love ahead of the 2025 NFL season.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Green Bay Packers<\/strong>\u00a0lost to the eventual Super Bowl champions in the 2025\u00a0NFL<\/strong>\u00a0playoffs, but the Philadelphia Eagles winning the championship didn\u2019t make the playoff loss\u00a0any easier for Matt LaFleur and\u00a0Jordan Love<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The team knows that\u00a0it has work to do<\/strong>\u00a0after a challenging 2024\u00a0NFL\u00a0season in the NFC North, where not even an 11-6 record was enough to finish above the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings.<\/p>\n The offseason, therefore, will be crucial for the Packers. The front office has been relatively quiet at the start of free agency, but it recently made a move to\u00a0bring back a familiar face<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0LaFleur\u00a0and Love in 2025.<\/p>\n The NFL\u2019s transactions report from Friday shows that Packers\u00a0offensive tackle Kadeem Telfort signed his exclusive rights tender<\/strong>, which means that he\u2019ll stay in Green Bay for the 2025 NFL season.<\/p>\n Telfort, 26, joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2023, spending his entire rookie season with the practice squad. His NFL debut didn\u2019t come\u00a0until his second year, where he made 16 appearances<\/strong>, playing 23 snaps in offense and 79 on special teams.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Packers\u00a0will be a team to watch until Week 1, with many expecting the franchise to make trades to help Love. Running back Josh Jacobs, for instance, let the front office know that the team\u00a0should get a talented wideout with experience<\/strong>\u00a0in the league.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got a pretty young group of receivers<\/strong><\/em>,\u201d Jacobs told Milwaukee radio station\u00a0The Game<\/em>\u00a0during Super Bowl week, via\u00a0Milwaukee Journal Sentinel<\/em>.\u00a0\u201cAll can be really, really, really special, but I think, personally,\u00a0we need a guy that\u2019s proven to be a No. 1 already.<\/strong>\u00a0Somebody that we know is going to be a little more consistent.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Last week, the\u00a0Packers signed a three-time Super Bowl champion with Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce\u00a0on the Kansas City Chiefs by\u00a0landing wide receiver and return specialist Mecole Hardman.<\/strong><\/p>\n Hardman may not be seen as the No.1 WR Jacobs was talking about, but his addition still gives the Packers more veteran presence on the WR room.
