<\/p>\nWhen the Kansas City Chiefs signed Marquise Brown last offseason, it was seen as a move that would give the offense some much-needed juice at the receiver position.<\/p>\n

Outside of Rashee Rice, who, along with\u00a0Travis Kelce, was the Chiefs’ passing game in 2023, Brown was brought in to add another element to the offense with his speed.<\/p>\n
However, an injury in the preseason saw Brown miss the majority of the season, including playoffs, he only played five games. Talk about a missed opportunity.<\/p>\n
Now the Chiefs have re-signed Marquise to a one-year deal as they look to run it back in 2025, and in doing so, they will hopefully see him be the weapon they thought he would be last season.<\/p>\n
And for PFF, Brown will bring one thing to the Chiefs’ offense.<\/p>\n
“Brown re-signs with Kansas City after injuries limited him to just five games in 2024,”\u00a0PFF writes. “He’ll still be only 28 years old during the upcoming season, and the Chiefs will hope he can finally add an explosive element to their passing game.”<\/p>\n

Brown totaled 45 and 46 yards in the regular season, before a 35-yard game in the AFC Championship game, and then, like most of his teammates, didn’t have a good Super Bowl.<\/p>\n
But it was Brown’s first year with his new team, and while he trained most of the offseason with them, getting that chemistry built with live NFL bullets flying is crucial, and he didn’t manage that.<\/p>\n
Now coming back for another crack at it, the Chiefs hope Brown’s second go around will be far better than the first, and if it is, then Kansas City’s offense will look more explosive than last season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
