The\u00a0Green Bay Packers\u00a0made two big moves on Monday, agreeing to\u00a0sign guard Aaron Banks\u00a0and\u00a0cornerback Nate Hobbs. On Tuesday and Wednesday, though, no new moves. And that’s been pretty much Brian Gutekunst’s modus operandi as a general manager.<\/p>\n

In free agency, he goes big or goes home. After the first wave, he waits for the mid-level class to sign, and then might make some more moves for something close to the minimum.<\/p>\n

But even after three days of free agency, there are still really good options available. Not stars, but contributors who could have real impact in areas of need for Green Bay.<\/p>\n

Edge rushers<\/h2>\n

This is the main position where the Packers were expected to add pieces and didn’t. Their potential targets are already off the board with\u00a0Dayo Odeyingbo going to the Chicago Bears\u00a0and Chase Young staying in New Orleans.\u00a0Trey Hendrickson via trade is out of their way of doing business, so the options are limited.<\/p>\n

Charles Omenihu is the best fit for what they tend to look for. But if the price is right, players like Azeez Ojulari or Dante Fowler could be added. Za’Darius Smith would be intriguing, but his relationship with the leaders on the Packers make a reunion very unlikely.<\/p>\n
