The NFL never sleeps.<\/strong> <\/em>Even during the offseason, the league buzzes with whispers, speculation, and behind-the-scenes maneuvers that could disrupt teams and redefine the upcoming season. The rumor mill is perpetually active, from major trade discussions to coaching shake-ups and free agency surprises, one can never guess what comes next. The only question that lingers is\u2014what shocking move will occur next?<\/p>\n Well, if the latest rumors are to be believed, there is a big move on the horizon. It seems like Bills WR Amari Cooper is set to leave Josh Allen and join the Dallas Cowboys. Cooper was brought in mid-season to the Bills and frankly, it didn\u2019t work out. Whether it be his injury or just his form, running just 297 yards with 2 touchdowns, wasn\u2019t the showing anyone expected from him. So what does that mean, well Cooper is hitting free agency soon, and it is highly unlikely the Bills get him back after such a performance. So, should the Cowboys really go after him?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Well, Kevin Patra<\/strong> has already shared his warning with teams looking to get the WR in. \u201cA midseason trade to Buffalo to join MVP Josh Allen did little to jump-start his play; over eight regular-season games with the Bills, Cooper generated just 297 yards and two scores.\u201d<\/em> To be fair it\u2019 not just Cooper that Patra is cautious about. He wants the teams to be wary about all \u201c30-something wideouts.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cHe struggled with drops and dealt with a wrist injury that cost him two games. Was the nosedive in production tied to health \u2014 and, thus, something he can bounce back from \u2014 or a sign of the former first-rounder\u2019s advancing age? Cooper\u2019s presence here highlights the wariness that should be brought toward each of the 30-something wideouts peppering free agency.\u201d<\/em> It would be interesting to see if Jerry Jones<\/strong> decides to go for Cooper, for now though, it doesn\u2019t seem very likely.<\/p>\n What does seem likely for Jones though, is cutting one of his players for an increased cap. And who\u2019s that player, well the best bet: Donovan Wilson. The Cowboys had signed Wilson on a three-year $21 million contract, and well has he lived up to it? Let Jones decide that, and if he does decide to cut Wilson he could free up $5.35 million in the salary cap. Tempting, isn\u2019t it? Well, whatever they do the Cowboys really need to make some changes soon, and one of them is getting a new OL.<\/p>\n The Cowboys have Tyler Guyton<\/strong>, so why do they need another OL? Well, the answer is clear: to push the 23-year-old and make sure they have enough options to cover Terence Steele<\/strong> and Brock Hoffman<\/strong>. So who can do that job? Well, luckily for Jones, there are just far too many OLs in free agency that can fill that role. A good option can be the Lions OG, Kevin Zeitler<\/strong>; granted he is a short-term solution, but they really need to fill that void left by Zack Martin<\/strong>, and well Zeitler can certainly do that.<\/p>\n Another name that has been constantly being linked with the Cowboys: Jedrick Wills Jr<\/strong>. To be fair, Wills Jr has not done well over the past few seasons, but you\u2019ve heard the saying right\u00a0 \u2018form is temporary, class is permanent\u2019. Well, the Browns man is a former first-round pick and currently will not garner much monetary value, and that is just where Jones can come in and get a talented player at a low price. There are just far too many options for Jones, but the most realistic one: Drew Dalman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s face it, Cooper Beebe<\/strong> should ideally be playing guard. Yes, the 23-year-old is a quality center but with the Cowboys bringing in Conor Riley; someone who has already coached Bebee in that guard role, it might make sense for him to go back to his more natural position. Who then can replace him? Dalman. He is easily among the best in the league and is just 26 years old.
