The Mahomes family is in mourning after Patrick&#8217;s mother Randi announced her father&#8217;s passing this week. Larry Randy Martin was 78.<\/p>\n<p>Randi has posted on her Instagram page about when her father, Larry Martin, passed away, and she detailed that she was holding his hand as he passed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hard to find the words of holding my father&#8217;s hand as he goes to Heaven,&#8221;\u00a0Randi wrote. I know he&#8217;s in a better place. I love you daddy. Well done, good and faithful servant! Matthew 25:23.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A funeral is planned for Monday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net\/tenant\/amp\/entityid\/AA1xOWxp.img?w=768&amp;h=640&amp;m=6&amp;x=43&amp;y=108&amp;s=891&amp;d=186\" alt=\"Mahomes Family Receiving Prayers Before Bills vs. Chiefs Playoff Game\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was on Jan. 24 when Randi Mahomes revealed that her father had entered hospice. &#8230; just two days before the Chiefs played the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game.<\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs defeated the Bills and advanced to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, with Randi saying her dad was &#8220;holding on&#8221; to watch The Big Game.<\/p>\n<p>The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Chiefs 40-22 in the NFL finale.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick&#8217;s grandfather&#8217;s passing has created an outpouring of grief and tributes from the Chiefs community, with Hunt posting an emotional message on social media.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m so sorry for your loss,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. I pray that you feel God&#8217;s comforting presence, and that He will bring you peace and strength in the days ahead.
