\"NFL-MahomesNEW ORLEANS (Reuters) \u2013 Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are \u201cin a good spot\u201d as the team\u2019s chance to complete a historic Super Bowl three-peat draws near, head coach Andy Reid said after their last major practice on Friday.<\/p>\n

Mahomes completed each of his passes against the Chiefs\u2019 scout team while across town the Eagles closed out the week with a light practice on a warm day in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe comes out with a purpose every day, and he knows he\u2019s playing against a real good team,\u201d Reid said of his quarterback, according to a pool report.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t miss too many reps against this group.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chiefs\u2019 starting offense and defense largely focused on situational football in the 70-minute practice.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in a good spot,\u201d Reid said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got to make sure you stay focused the next couple days and keep getting yourself ready. We\u2019ll get a walk through in tomorrow and then go play.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Eagles were fine-tuning their red zone play and cleaning up their game plan as they look to thwart the Chiefs\u2019 bid for a third straight tile and get revenge for their loss to the team in the Big Game two years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cNormal Friday,\u201d said Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally good all week, really good today. There\u2019s some stuff we need to clean up, like any practice, but I thought the focus was there and the energy was there and the effort was there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Eagles\u2019 players and coaches will have some down time Friday evening to be with their families before closing out their Super Bowl prep with more film study, a mock game and the team photo on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs\u2019 will also have a walk through on Saturday and both teams remain mostly healthy heading into the NFL title game on Sunday.<\/p>\n
