Myles Garrett has been a hot topic of conversation on and around radio row at Super Bowl LIX since he publicly requested to be traded form the Browns earlier this week.<\/p>\n

But at least one of his longtime teammates would like to get him to reconsider.<\/p>\n
Tight end David Njoku told Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com on Thursday that he\u2019s planning to speak with Garrett and see what can be done.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor me, I\u2019m Cleveland ride or die,\u201d Njoku said to Cabot. \u201cI hope Myles tries to stay. That\u2019s like a brother to me, obviously, so I\u2019m going talk to him and see what I can do.<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously, Myles is a big part of our team, so you hate to see a guy like that leave,\u201d he added. \u201cSo, hopefully [he] doesn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Garrett and Njoku were both selected by the Browns in the first round of the 2017 draft and have been teammates ever since. But Njoku can also relate to requesting a trade, as he once did that himself. But General Manager Andrew Berry didn\u2019t grant it, and now Njoku is just fine where he is.<\/p>\n
That may be part of why he\u2019s not upset with Garrett for making his request.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not mad at him for wanting to win a championship,\u201d Njoku said. \u201cWe all do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Njoku, however, wants to do it with the team that drafted him.<\/p>\n
\u201cAbsolutely,\u201d Njoku said. \u201cBut we all want to be champions. It\u2019s tough. It\u2019s complicated.\u201d<\/p>\n
So, Njoku wants to do what he can to keep Garrett on board in Cleveland.<\/p>\n
