On Sunday Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany welcomed their third child into the world.<\/p>\n
Brittany announced the birth of daughter, Golden Raye, in a post on Instagram that sparked plenty of fan reaction. Golden joins older sister Sterling Skye born in February 2021 and brother Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III born in November 2022.<\/p>\n
After revealing that he and Brittany were pregnant with child No. 3, Mahomes made it clear he would be done at three.<\/p>\n
“I’m done, I’ll say that. I said three and I’m done….I always wanted to have kids young. I got to grow up in a locker room and it made such an impact in my life. We’re having our third kid now to join our family. Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things,” Mahomes said at the time.<\/p>\n
But what does he think now that No. 3 is here?<\/p>\n
“We’ll see down the line,” he told reporters on Tuesday afternoon. “My goal was always three. So we had three, and we’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”<\/p>\n
“It’s been cool to welcome another baby girl into our family and see how our other kids react to her and having baby sissy and stuff like that,” Mahomes added.<\/p>\n
The birth of Golden came at the perfect time as the Chiefs were on bye through the first week of the playoffs. In just a few days, though, they’ll be back on the field for a battle against the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n
